Govt Counts injured Of 2016 Unrest | KNO

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan chaired a meeting of the committee constituted for identification/verification of injured persons during the unrest of 2016. Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan chaired a meeting of the committee constituted for identification/verification of injured persons during the unrest of 2016.

Head Department of Ophthalmology SMHS, Joint Medical Superintendent SKIMS, Assistant Director Department of Health Services Kashmir, SSP CID, SO to IGP Kashmir and other concerned attended the meeting.

The meeting was informed that 21 cases have been identified who have suffered disability of more than 75 percent in their eyes. Accordingly, 14 cases have been cleared in addition to already cleared four cases, the meeting, according to an official statement, was informed.

It was given out that all the cases have not been cleared, so far, because of mismatch of antecedents of the eye injured persons regarding their name, parentage and residence. Further, it was said that the process of the identification of such persons will continue in due course of time.
